An antique 19th century find to grace yourself. A naturally banded Agate gem (highly regarded in ancient times) inlaid with thirteen olden hand faceted Diamonds in the shape of a kiss, or 'X'... dating to the mid Victorian period and having a deep velvetine glory in the Gothic style. Apparently tracing the origin of the 'X' symbol tells that since Medieval times it was used to seal letters with the 'blessing or kiss of faith'. This meaning is such a special one and universally known now and would have appealed to the Victorian mind. Mounted in 9ct yellow Gold, the pendant measures 17mm lengthwise excluding the bale. The finer 9ct Gold chain is included in the price.
